Dr. Sukhraj Singh Bajwa

Dr. Sukhraj Singh Bajwa, born in Ajmer, Rajasthan, is an esteemed educator and environmental advocate. He is the son of S. Mohinder Singh, a retired DSP, and Smt. Bhagwant Kaur. Dr. Bajwa is married to Anju Bajwa, and they have a daughter, Ashleen Bajwa.
Dr. Bajwa’s academic journey began at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Sri Ganganagar Rajasthan. After completing his 12th grade at SGN Khalsa School, Sri Ganganagar, he earned his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Botany from SGN Khalsa College and MD (PG) College, Sri Ganganagar. During his school and college years, Dr. Bajwa was an accomplished hockey player and served as the captain of his team. His commitment to education led him to pursue an Master’s in Education from Punjab University, Chandigarh. In addition to his teaching credentials, Dr. Bajwa holds Master’s in psychology and diplomas in Ayurvedic Pharmacy and Naturopathy and Yoga Science
Since 1998, Dr. Bajwa has dedicated his career to education. He began his teaching journey at kendriya vidyalaya Lalgarh Jattan Rajasthan .where he was honoured by Brigadier I S Janghu as best teacher .Later He moved to Seth GL Bihani Education trust’s prestigious Bihani Children’s Academy, Sri Ganganagar, where he served as the Head of the Science Department and Staff Secretary until 2001. Currently, he is a science teacher in the Punjab education department in Hoshiarpur, continuing his lifelong passion for education. From 2017 to 2023, he also served as a Block Mentor in Science, focusing on research and enhancing educational quality.
Dr. Bajwa is a strong advocate for Ayurveda and environmental conservation. Since 2017, he has promoted Ayurvedic medicine and spearheaded tree plantation drives, particularly focusing on endangered tree species. His environmental work also extends to the National Green Corps, where he raises awareness through social initiatives and articles published in newspapers.
As a youth, Dr. Bajwa was actively involved in the Scouts and Guides, where he engaged in social activities and participated in the National Jamboree. His love for nature and wildlife inspired him to found “Mission Alhna,” an organization dedicated to protecting bird habitats and wildlife.
Dr. Bajwa has been recognized for his contributions to society. In 2019, he was honored by Bhai Ghanaiya Charitable Trust, and in 2022 and 2023, he received accolades from the Dhanwantri Ayurveda Mandal, Punjab, for his efforts in promoting Ayurveda. In 2023, he was jointly awarded the title of “Samaj Ratna” by Sunder Sansar Sanstha and Bhai Ghanaiya Charitable Trust for his work in tree plantation and conservation of endangered species. In 2024, he was honored with an honorary doctorate by the World Cultural and Environment Protection Commission for his invaluable contributions to environmental protection.

Dr. Bajwa continues to inspire future generations through his work in education, environmental conservation, and the promotion of natural healing systems.
