Description
The winter of 2028 was severely cold in Saurashtra, the western most region of India. The chilly conditions reigned supreme everywhere. There was a nip in the air on that early evening at the Elite International School in Morbi. Wrapped up in swaeaters and pullovers of different shapes and sizes, the students and the teachers were struggling against the bitter cold. It appeared that they all were fighting a loosing battle. The usual scenes of school let-out – ringing of the final bell of the school, the yellow coloured school buses getting in a line to be boarded by students, the elongated shadows of them moving about hurriedly and hysterically—eased into view. All the teachers and students have every right to get their jollies at the time of the school llet-ou. And it was the watchword among them at that point of time.
Nirav Joshi and Aditya Chandarana, the two young professors from Rajkot, a nearby city, walked briskly in the foyer, past the mobile panels, past the reception table, past the impressive entrance of the school building. Chattering most gleefully, both of them were high-spirited—at the thought of school let-out, just like their students. To students, teachers are like role models. Many students get super impressed by teachers. So much so that teachers enjoy the status of a celebrity amid students. Not only in Gujarat, it happens so all over the world. Our teachers – Mr.Nirav Joshi and Mr.Aditya Chandarana –enjoy, even get a kick from—this type of popularity at their work place. As happy as a lark, both of them were throwing a parade of exuberance, so to speak of, for the people around.
